About Mr Carlile

Mr Graeme Carlile is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon based at East Suffolk & North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. Mr Carlile provides specialist services for Paediatric Orthopaedics, and maintains an adult orthopaedic practise which includes trauma, foot & ankle surgery and complex disability.   Mr Carlile was appointed as a Consultant in 2015, and brings a wealth of national & international experience to the region.  Mr Carlile is involved with teaching & training through the University of Suffolk, and is responsible for orthopaedic services across Ipswich & Colchester. 


Mr Carlile previously held the appointment of Honorary Associate Professor at the University of East Anglia.


Mr Carlile welcomes patients from across Ipswich, Colchester, Bury and Norfolk.

All aspects of Paediatric orthopaedics; feet, leg shape, hips, back pain, upper limbs, walking problems, neuromuscular  & sports injuries,.

02 Availability

Weekly evening clinics after school. Central Ipswich location.
Times to suit busy families.

03 Reassurance

Those requiring investigation can have scans performed locally.
Physio & chiro available on site.
